John lives in St. George Utah, about an hour away, so he'll need a bit of notice to be here. Be sure to call first. During "events", he is resident on the field.
Gliding in Southern Utah is second to none. Parowan is uniquely situated to offer any soaring pilot anything he desires. In addition to exceptional lift, suitable landout areas and airports are located north and south along either the I15 or Utah Route 89 corridors adjacent to the major ridge lines of the area.
- For the recreational soaring pilot, Utah offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Soar over Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Zion National Park, and the Grand Canyon -- the colorful geological formations will astound you.
- On non-soaring or rest days, Parowan is ideally situated within easy driving distance of four national parks and national forest areas with fishing, back packing, hiking, or mountain biking.
- If achieving badges or breaking a record is your goal, Parowan is the place to be.
Our tow plane is a 235 HP Maule. In addition, we have a list of other tow services to contact to add extra tug capacity for large groups. It is important that group "honchos" notify us of updated numbers so that we can have a sufficient number of tugs.
